Intel® HD Graphics 4000  + AMD Radeon™ HD 7570M with 1GB GDDR5
14.0” HD Widescreen, 200-nit (1366×768) 720p
500GB3 hard drive
Dell Wireless 1703 802.11n + Bluetooth 4.0
– Network controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR9485 Wireless Network Adapter
– Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR8162 Fast Ethernet

I try 6 version of Ubuntu but not complete! because when install Ubuntu can’t find Hard disk

How I made Ubuntu Installer detect my SATA drive

  1. Boot Ubuntu from a Live CD or Live USB
  2. Open a Terminal (Applications > Accessories > Terminal) and type sudo su
  3. Type fdisk -l (note which device is your SATA drive)
  4. Type dmraid -E -r /dev/sdX
    (Replacing X with your actual device found in step 3)
  5. Confirm that yes, you wish to remove the dmraid information
  6. Return to the desktop and proceed to run the Ubuntu Installer

After Ubuntu 12.10 installed only wireless found

sudo apt-get install linux-headers-generic build-essential
wget http://www.orbit-lab.org/kernel/compat-wireless-3-stable/v3.5/compat-wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc.tar.bz2
tar -xf compat-wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc.tar.bz2
cd compat-wireless-3.5.1-1-snpc
./scripts/driver-select alx
make
sudo make install
sudo modprobe alx

that’s all

hey guy, Can you help me with Intel® HD Graphics 4000 + AMD Radeon™ HD 7570M, after ubuntu 12.10 installed I Can’t use cause this graphics cards.

Did you try Ubuntu 12.10 64 bit version?
and is live Ubuntu CD work on your computer?

my Dell 5423 inspiron 14z core i7 ultrabook with 500 GB HDD + 32 GB SATA
it design for Windows 7 OS if you use Windows 7 it will ultra fast boot.
when install Ubuntu beside Windows 7 it boot a bit slower than before but normal in Ubuntu
it work and well in Ubuntu 12.10

yes I’m happy
I try to install Ubuntu on Dell precision M2400 before but it have problem i can’t solve.
Ubuntu hot support nvidia graphic card you have to download driver from nvidia and plug external monitor when install Ubuntu.
Dell inspiron 14Z have dual HDD and dual graphic card. dual HDD design for super fast Windows 7 boot, it will slower when installed Ubuntu.
I use Windows but I like to try to use Ubuntu.

SSD HDD 32Gb on inspiron Z14 was design for turbo boot in Windows 7
when I install Ubuntu as dual boot Win7 & Ubuntu it can’t be turbo boot anymore.
and yes Ubuntu can’t see this drive.
